Play & Learn 4/5’s Camp
Storytelling With Nature
designed especially for 4-5 year olds
a four day camp June 24th – 27th | 9:30am -12:00pm
Is there a fairy in my garden? Who puts the forest to sleep ?
Children create art with natural materials and then spin their own fairy tales.
Play & Learn is designed to build socioemotional and self-regulation skills through active engagement with campmates, materials, books, pretend play, and projects.
Play Coaches will use guided play to encourage creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and a love of tinkering and experimenting within each of our weekly explorations.
Expect your child to be given the opportunity and support to believe in their own growth mindset. Anything is possible!
What to expect during a typical camp day:
Dropoff- Separation may be an anxious time. Whitney will work through this time by introducing transitional activities to ease children into camp. Parent’s will also be provided guidance on dropoff preparedness activities you can do at home before arriving.
Meeting- Campers will come together for songs and introductions to help them engage & prepare for the day’s activities
Activity- Each day of camp will provide an opportunity to tell a story inspired by author Tracey Kane’s ‘The Fairy House’ series.
Snack- Campers will be provided a snack of goldfish & water. Children with allergies or dietary restrictions will be offered a substitution upon parent guidance.
Exploring- Campers will be provided time to create, build & work on their very own fairy door to take home at the completion of camp.
Goodbye- Before pickup campers will come together for a round of goodbyes and closure of the day’s activity
Pickup- Caregivers will meet their campers in the studio, chat with Whitney, signout & gather their belongings.
